Pets are most welcome at Windsor at Celebration!  There are a few weight and size restrictions, so just give us a call and we can give you the details.

What are the advantages of a rental community versus one that requires an entrance fee?

What is offered with Assisted Living?

As the name suggests, Assisted Living offers individuals assistance with the activities of daily living, dressing, bathing, dining, medication management—while still providing every opportunity for the maintaining the highest possible level of independence.  And at Windsor at Celebration, this is all delivered in an uplifting atmosphere of high hospitality. Services are tailored to match individual needs for maximum convenience and comfort.

What is Memory Care?

Memory care provides a specialized environment for residents coping with memory loss, Alzheimer’s, or other dementia-related disorders.  Therapeutic activities and programs help maximize existing cognitive abilities, diminish anxiety, lessen confusion, and increase peace of mind.

Will my long-term care insurance help pay for Assisted Living or Memory Care?

Most policies do help cover the costs of Assisted Living or Memory Care, but you will need to know your specific coverage to be sure.  We can help—just bring a copy of your policy with you when you visit Windsor at Celebration.  Long-term care insurance is not required to be a resident of Windsor at Celebration.

Is any assistance available for Veterans or their spouses?

If either of your parents is a Veteran or the widow of a Veteran, he or she may be eligible for a wide variety of benefits available to all U.S. military Veterans.  These include disability compensation, pension, education and training, health care, home loans, insurance, vocation, rehabilitation and employment, and burial.  At Windsor at Celebration, Veterans benefits may assist with the costs associated with Independent Living, Assisted Living and Memory Care.  Let us help you get the answers or go to www.benefits.va.gov.

Glossary of Terms

Activities of Daily Living

The tasks people perform each day, such as dressing, bathing, grooming, dining, medication management.

Assisted Living

Assisted Living offers individuals assistance with the activities of daily living—dressing, bathing, dining, and medication management. Services such as transportation, dining, housekeeping and more usually are included.

Dementia

Dementia can be a variety of diagnoses, the most common of which is Alzheimer’s. This disease begins slowly, but over time, symptoms worsen. While occasional memory problems are common for individuals over age 65, people with dementia cannot retrieve information and in most cases, lose the ability to remember.

Long-term Care Insurance

Long-term care insurance is a type of insurance developed specifically to cover the cost of skilled nursing, assisted living, home health care and other long-term care services. These services are usually not covered by traditional health insurance or Medicare.

Medicare

The federal health insurance program for people who are 65 and older, certain younger people with disabilities, and people with End-Stage Renal Disease. Medicare Parts A, B, C and D cover specific services and care.

Medicaid

A program of medical assistance designed for those unable to afford regular medical service and financed by the state and federal governments—available only in a skilled nursing setting.

Windsor at Celebration does not accept Medicare or Medicaid. However, if you would like more specific information, go to www.medicare.gov.

Memory Care

Memory care provides a specialized atmosphere for residents coping with memory loss, Alzheimer’s or other dementia-related disorders. Therapeutic activities and programs help maximize cognitive development, diminish anxiety, lessen confusion and increase peace of mind.

Post-Acute Care

Short-term rehabilitation or palliative services provided following illness, injury or a stay in an acute care hospital.

Respite Care

A short-term stay in assisted living or memory care that provides a safe choice for a loved one while the caregiver is able to take a much-needed break for traveling, business or other commitment.

Veterans Benefits
